Seahawks host the Character Playbook Experience
On June 15th the Seattle Seahawks hosted Verizon, United Way King County and 100 area students to participate in the Character Playbook Experience at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton. Seattle Legend Jordan Babineaux emceed the first part of the event which was conversation on character that featured Seattle players KJ Wright and Tyler Lockett. The panel explored the practical side of character and how each of us can take little steps each day to improve our character. For the second part of the event the students were met by the welcoming high-fives of United Way volunteers at the indoor practice facility for the Character Playbook Experience. Students worked through six stations with themes such as focus, perseverance, and communication. The goal of each station was to combine the character traits that students had learned in the Character Playbook program with a football skill. With an amazing combination of sponsors and supporters the message character in Seattle was heard loud and clear.
