OAKLAND RAIDERS CHARACTER PLAYBOOK LAUNCH EVENT

 

On Wednesday, October 18th the Oakland Raiders and United Way Bay Area kicked off the Character Playbook program in Oakland with an event at Montera Middle School. The Raiderettes, Raider Rusher, and Raider Alumni Brad Badger and Kenny Shedd all participated in the event at Montera. The team interacted with students as they explored the Character Playbook program and also held a panel discussion on character and healthy relationships for over 300 Montera Middle school students. The panel discussion was emceed by K12 director for Bay Area United Way Larry Berry, and broached topics such as dealing with emotions, work ethic, and the art of listening. Representatives from both the Raiders and the United Way provided the students of Montera advice and life experiences that will build on the lessons learned from the Character Playbook program.
