New York Jets Celebration

   

On Wednesday, May 24th BRICK Avon Academy 7th graders joined the New York Jets, United Way of Essex and West Hudson and Verizon and the New York Jets training facility to celebrate Character Playbook. New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee kicked off the event with congratulatory remarks to the students for all of their great work. Students then participated in a Q&A session with Darron focusing on the importance of good character and healthy relationships.

BRICK Avon students also got the chance to show off their course knowledge in a game of true or false led by Verizon Public Relations Manager, David Weissmann. The event concluded with remarks from Catherine Wilson, President and CEO of the United Way of Essex and West Hudson and the presentation of the Innovation in Character Education award to BRICK Avon and accepted by Character Playbook teacher, Mr. Charles Minton.
