Minnesota Character Playbook Celebration

The Character Playbook Experience came to Osseo Middle school in celebration of a year of character education. The Minnesota Vikings and Greater Twins Cities United Way partnered to bring Character Playbook to the North Star state and created a day of activity and activism for 120 Osseo Middle School Students.

Starting outside on the football field Vikings legend E.J. Henderson led the Character Playbook Experience. Each student completed six stations that focussed on the building of skills and the inside game of football. At the conclusion of the Character Playbook Experience students were led to the gym where Minnesota native and local sports analyst Lea B. Olsen led a panel on character education and how it can be incorporated into your everyday life. Ben Leber and EJ Henderson of the Vikings were joined by Minnesota Cheerleaders and Leslie Wright of the GTCUW to tackle the tough questions of character. Students weighed in on true and false questions and also asked specific questions of the panel and asked them to share their own insights on being a teenager.

The amazing support of Osseo Middle school teamed up with the Vikings and Greater Twin Cities United Way helped create a day of both experience and inquiry that gets to the heart of what Character Playbook is all about.
