Green Bay Character Playbook LIVE
On Tuesday, October 10th Green Bay Packers LB Blake Martinez hosted a video conference chat from Lambeau Field with 8 schools in the Green Bay area. There were about 300 students in attendance for the online event.
Blake engaged the students in a true/false activity before fielding questions from a few eager student representatives. As a person with high character, Blake naturally tied in concepts of character building and leadership to his life as a professional football player, older brother and student. As evidence by his success on the field and in the classroom as a graduate of Stanford University. When asked about advice that Blake would give his middle school self, he stressed the importance of academics and continuing to learn throughout life.
As a first time bringing Character Playbook LIVE to Packers fans, the Packers and Brown County United Way have had an incredible response and look forward to continuing to make the program available to more schools across the state of WI in 2018.
