Dallas Launch Event Recap

On October 31st, 2016 the Dallas Cowboys celebrated the lauch of Character Playbook with back to back events at Staley Middle School and Workman Jr. High respectively. Staley Middle School hosted Cowboy players Brandon Carr, Tyrone Crawford, Byron Jones and Alfred Morris. Each player had the opportunity to share their story and their beliefs about the importance of living a life of character. Students were able to engage through questions of their own and participate in a meaningful discourse with the Cowboys about why character counts in our schools and communities. At the very same time Workman Junior High was kicking off a launch of their own. They were the host of Cowboy players including Anthony Brown, Maliek Collins, Clay DeBord, Kavon Frazier, Rico Gathers, Darius Jackson, Andy Jones, Dak Prescott, and Jaylon Smith. The players received a warm welcome from the junior high students complete with waving rally towels and cheers. The team answered questions, told stories and encouraged all students to think about their actions and to believe that great character will lead to great success in life. These events were made possible by the collaboration of the Dallas Cowboys, United Way of Tarrant County and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
